    डोंबिवली : मानपाडा पोलीस ठाणे आणि नवी मुंबई पोलीस यांच्या संयुक्त पथकाने शुक्रवारी पहाटे खोणी-पलावा परिसरात मोठे कोंबिंग ऑपरेशन राबवत अवैधरीत्या वास्तव्यास असलेल्या नायजेरियन नागरिकांविरोधात धडक कारवाई केली. या कारवाईत १३ पुरुष, ७ महिला, ३ अल्पवयीन मुले आणि १ अल्पवयीन मुलगी अशा एकूण २४ जणांना ताब्यात घेण्यात आले असून त्यांच्या पासपोर्ट, व्हिसा आणि इतर कायदेशीर कागदपत्रांची सखोल पडताळणी सुरू करण्यात आली आहे.

    मानपाडा पोलीस ठाणे हद्दीत मागील दोन वर्षांत मोठ्या प्रमाणात ड्रग्सविरोधी कारवाया करण्यात आल्या होत्या. त्यानंतर खोणी-पलावा परिसरात काही नायजेरियन नागरिक अवैधपणे राहत असल्याची गोपनीय माहिती पोलिसांना मिळाली होती. त्याचबरोबर नवी मुंबईतील वाशी पोलीस ठाण्याच्या गुन्ह्यातील एका पाहिजे आरोपीचा शोध सुरू असल्याने दोन्ही पोलीस दलांनी संयुक्त मोहीम आखली.

    आज सकाळी राबविण्यात आलेल्या या कोंबिंग ऑपरेशनमध्ये संशयित नागरिकांची चौकशी करून त्यांना ताब्यात घेण्यात आले. संबंधितांकडे असलेल्या कागदपत्रांची पडताळणी सुरू असून नियमभंग आढळल्यास कठोर कायदेशीर कारवाई करण्यात येणार असल्याचे पोलिसांनी स्पष्ट केले.

    ही कारवाई पोलीस आयुक्त ठाणे आशुतोष डुंबरे, सह पोलीस आयुक्त  ज्ञानेश्वर चव्हाण, अपर पोलीस आयुक्त  संजय जाधव, पोलीस उप आयुक्त परिमंडळ-३ कल्याण  अतुल झेंडे आणि सहाय्यक पोलीस आयुक्त डोंबिवली विभाग  सुहास हेमाडे यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली पार पडली.
    या मोहिमेत वरिष्ठ पोलीस निरीक्षक  संदिपान शिंदे यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली मानपाडा पोलीस ठाण्याचे १२ अधिकारी व ३१ पोलीस अंमलदार तसेच नवी मुंबई पोलीस दलाचे सहाय्यक पोलीस आयुक्त  धर्मपाल बनसोडे व त्यांच्या पथकातील १३ अधिकारी आणि ४० पोलीस अंमलदार सहभागी झाले होते.
